Save Derby County Football Club

On 22nd September 2021, DCFC was placed into administration. 

I am delighted that on the 1st July Clowes Development acquired the club. I would like to than everyone that was involved in getting the deal over the line and the fans for their continued patience. 

Darley Abbey Bridge Closure

On Friday 13th May the bridge linking UNESCO World Heritage Site with Old Lane in Darley Abbey was closed by the City Council following an inspection. 

Great British Railways National Headquarters

Derby has been named as one of the 6 finalists to be the home of the brand new national Rail Headquarters! 

The final decision includes a public vote, which closes on the 15th August 2022.

Today there are 171,000 more people in work across The East Midlands and in my constituency of Derby North the number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance and Universal Credit has fallen by 1,731– a 67 per cent drop – since 2010.
