There are few things worse than having to leave your family home when you are young, vulnerable and alone .This year I slept out for one night to try and raise funds for this vital and amazing charity. YMCA Derbyshire’s 2017 Sleep Easy event took place on Friday 31st March.

I have followed with interest the recent debate in the local news and social media around what Derby is like and what a great, or not so great place it is to live. It is genuinely fascinating to learn of how people perceive our city, for good or bad.
