This afternoon, I had the incredible opportunity to visit Alstom's facility in Derby!

As it was also National Apprenticeships Week 2022, I met with two of their apprentices Aiden and Hannah to discuss their roles and how they are progressing.

Exciting news that the UK-government’s Levelling up white paper has been announced.

The plan includes 12 national levelling up missions which will shift government focus and resources to Britain’s forgotten communities throughout 2020s.

Today I took joined the march for Derby County. C'mon you Rams.

Today a meeting was held with Team Derby (Derby City Council, Marketing Derby, myself and MP Colleagues), the EFL and administrators to seek clarification on how progress can me made.

I know lots of you have been anxiously following updates regarding Derby County and I wanted to offer an update on the progress so far.

I have had several meetings today to discuss the issues surrounding Derby County as well being present in the chamber. 

This morning I had a further meeting with Paul Simpson from @DerbyCC before meeting the administrators of Derby County later today. 

I have today met with Minister for Sport, Heritage and Tourism @HuddlestonNigel for discussions over what can be to done to save Derby County.

I went on ITV to discuss the ongoing situation of Derby County and talk about what I am doing going forwards to try and help find a solution.
