Constituent Surgery for December

This morning I have been chatting to some of my constituents at my surgery.

Hero policemen visit the Houses of Parliament

Such a pleasure to have 4 police officers from Derby visit me in parliament today for a tour before they attend the Police Bravery Awards.

The officers are up for a bravery award for saving a lady from drowning in the river Derwent.

Visit to Floral Creations

As part of Small Business Saturday, I visited local shop Floral Creations to see how they had dealt with the effects of Coronavirus.

They are a brilliant shop with gifts that are not available anywhere else in Derby. A true hidden gem in our community.

On Small Business Saturday I was out and about in the constituency to see how businesses have been recovering from the pandemic.

Government announces £96 billion to level up railways

Today the Government announced a £96 billion investment to level up our railways across the North and Midlands.

This investment will deliver direct services from Birmingham to Derby, as well as slash travel times from Derby to London.

Remembrance Day

A lovely service and 2 minute silence this morning for Remembrance Sunday to reflect on all those who have lost lives and gave such sacrifices for our country.

It was an honour to stand alongside the parade and see Derby City unite together for this incredibly important day.
