Delivering more job opportunities

4,240 people have started apprenticeships in Derby North since 2010. With a background in manufacturing and retail I have experience in supporting the apprenticeship scheme.

I invited Chancellor George Osborne to Derby to see firsst hand the investment opportunities our city has to offer. The Conservatives long-term economic plan is working for both residents and businesses in our area. Derby has recently been name a top ten city for job creation in the Cities Outlook 2015, because of the increase in private sector jobs created. We can also be proud that we have the second highest number of workers employed in the manufacturing sector.

I will continue to fight to ensure Derby receives greater economic investment, visit local businesses and work with to ensure the government is always on the side of businesses and workers in our city.
